Biography

Margaret “Midge” Reichert’s interest in human relations and business led to a career change from a director of a family crisis prevention program in Suffolk County, NY, to Human Resources as a recruiter for a leading staffing agency in New York City’s financial district. Now, with over 20 years of Human Resources experience, and teaching at the university level, she has focused on Career Development and training for students and employees.

Midge earned her Master of Science degree in Human Resources Development at Palm Beach Atlantic University in West Palm Beach, Florida.  Upon graduation, she was offered an adjunct position teaching at Northwood University, and Palm Beach Atlantic University’s MacArthur School of Leadership, where she continues teaching traditional, and adult learners.

Midge’s reputation as a trainer and consultant has led to assignments to create and facilitate workshops in HR Management Essentials, Workplace Diversity, Sales Training, Career Planning, Systems Thinking Integration, Writing Job Descriptions, HR Law, Adult Learning Theory, and the use of the MBTI and DISC personality assessments for career advisement, team building, and performance management. She has also been a guest speaker for numerous professional organizations, including the Business and Professional Women’s Association on the state and local levels, and the Human Resources Association of Palm Beach County.

Midge has held positions as Human Resources Director in the fields of marine technology, aviation, and health care where she developed and implemented HR policies and processes. She has also served in the roles of Corporate Trainer, Instructional Designer, Director of Career Services at Northwood University/Keiser University, and currently works as a contract Career Management Coach at Right Management, a division of the Manpower Group.

Midge is a member of HR Association of Palm Beach County, and a past member of the Board of Directors of the South Florida Chapter of the Association of Training and Development’s Palm Beach County GIG, having served as VP of Community Outreach, and Director of Membership. She is also a member of the advisory board for Florida International University’s Women in Leadership program.

Midge is the proud mother of two grown daughters who have embarked on their professional careers and is happy to offer them career advice…even if they don’t ask for it!
